Context
Alongside his role as a PrestaShop Brand Ambassador, Carlos worked hands-on with merchants running stores on the open-source platform — from setup to custom functionality and integrations with external systems.
The Challenge
Merchants needed their stores to stay consistent with the systems that run their business. In one project, product inventory had to stay synchronized between a PrestaShop store and an external API, reliably and without manual updates.
My Role

- Designed and built custom PrestaShop modules and integrations.
- Implemented the inventory synchronization between the store and the external API.

Approach
- Matched products between systems using product identifiers.
- Ran synchronization on a schedule rather than by hand.
- Authenticated against the external API.
- Logged each run so issues could be traced.

Solution
A custom integration that keeps stock levels aligned between PrestaShop and an external system, with administrative monitoring of each run. Related API workflows covered order- and payment-related operations.
